Legacy Law was created in 2025 to make legal services associated with estate planning and administration accessible and down-to-earth. Legacy Law promotes a client centric approach where providing responsive and pragmatic client service is the norm so you’re never left wondering where your file is at.

Although focus is often placed on end-of-life planning for an elder generation, the practice of estate law is a constant reminder of the precariousness of life at any age. Whether planning for the future of spouses, children, siblings, parents, or even dependent adults, everyone over the age of 18, should take the opportunity to carve out their own legacy.

Meet Jeanette

Jeanette completed her JD and MBA at the University of Ottawa in 2019 prior to being called to the Alberta bar August 2022. Jeanette brings a unique perspective to estate law after a decade of experience as a senior managing consultant with firms such as Deloitte and IBM for healthcare systems around the world. As a member of the “sandwich generation” she has personally struggled to juggle the competing priorities of a young family, career, and elder care. She has aided multiple grandparents and parents with dementia and other terminal, degenerative diseases. She is familiar with the challenges of the Long-Term Care system both from a professional and personal point of view.

Jeanette draws on her career and life experiences to provide professional communication and management of complex estate issues while recognizing the deeply personal and difficult nature of estate law. She is honoured to serve you and your families.
